Cooking with Kids: Rio Arriba
Getting started in a new community is a unique experience every single time. We are grateful to the many Rio Arriba community members whose determined efforts helped make this happen.
The need is great. We are raising the funds to meet it.
Our goal is to be in every public school in Rio Arriba County. Find out how you can help.

Cooking with Kids: Santa Fe
Find out how Cooking with Kids got its start.
Almost twenty-five years ago, Cooking with Kids founder Lynn Walters started something great.
We’re here to stay.
Cooking with Kids has nurtured generations of students through rich, unique hands-on nutrition education in Santa Fe public schools. Parents who had Cooking with Kids in elementary school are now volunteering in their kids’ cooking classes. One of our educators was even a Cooking with Kids graduate!

Farmers in the Schools
We connect kids with farmers and locally grown produce.
Cooking with Kids invites farmers into classrooms to get kids interested in where their food comes from! We also purchase locally grown produce for our classes whenever possible.
We help school cafeterias purchase, prepare, and promote local foods.
Farmers make special appearances in cafeterias, too! Cooking with Kids invites farmers into school cafeterias to connect kids with freshly-harvested produce. We also provide training and support for using local food in school cafeterias and have helped change school district policies around purchasing local food.

Superchefs
World-class culinary community meets wide-eyed kids.
Everyone loves a super-speedy knife demo! But even more, when Superchefs roll up their sleeves and cook alongside our kids, they help bring home the message that cooking matters.
We use culinary and cafeteria in the same sentence.
Superchefs volunteer in school cafeterias to provide culinary training and support to cafeteria staff.
